Wow, I have 70 hits on this blog, probably all of them are from me.

It counts it every time I look at my own blog.  I'm fine with that.  It just makes it look like people are actually clicking on this blog.  That just isn't true, though.  It's all me.
They might someday, which is the reason for doing this blog, but it ain't going to happen anytime soon.
Blogs are not like youtube, where there are millions of people on watching videos 24-7.
This blog is for the future.

Funny that I have old books in my studio that nobody reads anymore.  Those books, some of them well-written, get no hits at all anymore.
     That is very sad.

In blog terms, books are 'assembled in order monetized pages'.

Wow, I have 63 hits on this blog

Well, it also includes my own hits.  That doesn't matter overall, though, because it makes my little counter go up on my blog which makes it appear to have more hits than it actually does.
A bigger number is more impressive to anybody who actually does look at the blog.

Oh, this just in from my news desk...."Evidence is beginning to show that Herman Cain is bastard."

It is good to keep up on current events.

The Island Sanctuary of Howard Stern

I'm at the cafe, listening to Howard Stern.  I was laughing in the cafe, listening to High-Pitch Eric, and now Tabitha Stevens is talking about her terrible non-porn movie.

There is a girl sitting to the left of me, texting.  He has nice black leggings on her thick, black legs.  She has a nice face, and brown granny boots. She looks nice and has a red vest sweater.  She's been sitting there for forty-five minutes.

It seems that people on youtube who talk smack have crappy channels, and produce no videos.  Their whole purpose is to write negative comments, and that is their 'art'.  Big whoop-to-do.

Subforsub people suck even more.  I don't even want to talk about them.  They are my youtube enemies, though.

That Tabitha Stevens girl is pretty entertaining on The Stern show.  Listening to her regular acting voice just makes her look like an amateur, talking like a regular person with no acting lessons.  She's good at porn, though, from what I understand.

Howard's show has been my Island Sanctuary for twenty years.

I need to pee.  Coffee goes right through me.  I can't think when I have to pee, not even to write in a cafe.

It's nice that my laptop works again in the cafe.  Some update prevented it from working.  That always happens.  For two days, it did not work in here.  I'm glad it is working again.  I get to listen to Stern while I type, it's real nice.
I'm so glad that there is so much Howard stuff on youtube.  It's awesome.  I'm listening to them talk about this movie that was on t.v. called 'Judgment'.  It's a movie about a pedophile priest.  It's okay to put a movie like that on network t.v., for Howard to talk about the movie, but if I talk about it on this blog, adsense might not like it, and they might cancel this account.  Ridiculous, huh?  But adsense will do it if they don't like what I write.  They will cancel me if they don't like my content.  Adsense advertisers might get offended, while they themselves make offensive content in their ads.  All I know is that their ads annoy me, and always have.  I never click on their ads.

Anyway, nice to have a good time at the cafe.

Thank goodness for Howard.  He's had me laughing for twenty years now.  I'd have the radio on, and wake up laughing.  No other program has ever done that.
His program is a sanctuary of laughter for me.

Wow, my laptop works at the cafe again, SWG, and other stuff

Well, I like to work on my blogs at the cafe, and for two days, it didn't work.  I couldn't connect to the internet for some reason.  It might have been an Avast! update, which usually screws up everything.
I'm just happy that it works.
You know, when I am at home, I don't feel much like blogging, and getting into text mode.  I can do it with some effort.  However, at the cafe, I can go right into it, no problem.  Blogging here is actually quite nice.  I got some nice blues music to listen to, and some people here to feed off their energy.
The thing with blogging is, and writing in general, that if it becomes all about the writer, it becomes boring as all hell.
I try to keep this blog clean with words, but I don't think 'hell' is a bad word, though some people do.
Anyway, to continue, life is good.
I figured this blog would be a good place to write about my computer problems.  Blue Island energy often deals with technology within the Magic Universe.

My island is not an Artifact Land, but I've been to them.  They are cold, metallic places.  Not much life there.  Well, it's a different story with Artifact Lands.  I'm not quite sure how it all works.

Anyway, I'm just glad my laptop works in the cafe again.  I even brought an alternate wireless device as back-up just in case this Belkin wireless card didn't work.  It has a long history now of working quite well on this computer.

I watched a Star Wars parody video made by National Lampoon.  It was funny, but it's interesting to note that some of these kids that are online can make way funnier videos than some of the professionals.  It's true.  They get really into it, and to them, it's not a job, it's a passion.

So, Peter Jackson is worth about $450 million.  That must be nice.  He lost 50 pounds after 'The Return of The King' and stopped eating hamburgers, which are so yummy, but you know what?  They make you fat.

Anyway, I'm going outside for some fresh air, and a smoke.

It's nice to stand out there, and watch the cars go by.  I saw my favorite graffiti van.  It's just covered in graffiti, and no one tag stands out.  There is a nice all-over coverage, which would look good in a painting.
A cop car drove by, and the passenger cop looked at me, and seemed to chuckle, or smile, or whatever he did.  Being a block away from the cop station, a lot of cops drive by.  They look at everybody, it's their job, I don't take it personally.  They don't like to be looked at themselves.  It's usually not good to look at them.  They take it as a sign that you are too interested in what they are doing.
My general advice is, "Never talk to a cop if you can help it."
Also, when I was out there, there was some black guy with a hood on.  I avoided him so he wouldn't ask me for a cigarette.  It's hard to mind my own business while I am standing outside.  Someone often asks me for money or for a cigarette.  I get tired of it when I just want to be left alone.

So, I am a weird guy.  They've been saying that about me since junior high.  No big deal.  They just don't understand that I grew up on comic books, movies, and a healthy dose of television.  My mind is in that world.  I'm not the best person you will ever meet to interact with.  I save my energy for myself so I can put it into my art and my creative ventures.  It takes a lot of energy for that.

The 20th century's primary color was Blue, what with Picasso's paintings, and with The Blues.  My grandmother told me once there was a restaurant that was all blue, including the plates and the lights, but it just didn't make the food look good, so the restaurant closed down after a short while.
She did mention a restaurant that was very successful for a while.  All they served was Home-Made Beef Stew and Apple Pie.  That was it.  People would come from miles away just for this.  It was such a simple concept, and it worked.

It is nice to sit in the cafe and type.  I really like to do this.  It is really nice.  It is nice to get out of the art studio, and have a clean table to work at, and not have to deal with all the clutter of my place.  I love my place, but sometimes it gets to be too much.
I still like to write with a pencil and a pen on paper.  It's really fun.  I seem to produce a lot more words typing on this little keyboard, which is USB connected.  It's an external keyboard outside of my laptop.  It works real good.

SWG is shutting down.  The last day is December 15.  I see no need for them to shut it down.  What's the point?  I think they should keep some servers open, and just let it run it's course, until nobody is there.  People still want to play it.  When you invest so much time into a character, even if the game starts to become outdated, people still love it.
Maybe it isn't financially viable anymore.  Plus, Knights of The Old Republic is coming out.  However, there are a lot of people who still play EverQuest, so there is no reason not to keep SWG going.  Sony has enough money to keep it going.  Maybe Lucasarts just wanted to pull the plug on it.
When I play SWG, I can only play it in small doses.  After one space mission, I just want to shut the thing off.  It still looks really cool, though.  The attention to detail is marvelous.  The game kind of looks lifeless with what they can do now, though.
They changed the game so many times, that it is different than when it came out, and I don't know if what they did was good.  I liked the original tier system of leveling up.  I never ever got used to the new one, I was so thrown off.  I never had much time to play, so that was one of my problems, too.  Now I want to play since I won't have a chance after December 15.  They have an emulator for the game, I discovered on youtube last night, but I don't know about emulators.  I'd rather play the real live version of any game, and pay for it.

Let's see...what else is there to talk about?  I don't know.

It looks like bots in Russia are looking at this blog

That's fine with me.  I'll take every hit I can get.

At The Cafe with The Blue Wizard

This is pretty much what my island looks like.  It's pretty basic.  It's my home island base of operations, and pretty low key, with lots of trees.  Not too big, not too small.  I like it, and that's all that matters.

So, I've made $4.30 with adsense adnonsense.  That doesn't even amount to a penny for each video I've made.  But things will change.  I'll get the ball rolling somehow.  It just takes time.

I played Clone Wars Adventures today again.  Just working on my lots.  Having fun, and getting annoyed periodically by kids.  They mean well, most of them.  Impatient little buggers, though.  As I'm trying to build they run circles around me, and walk right through me.  It's like, "Hey, get out of my space."

Anyway, I'm at the cafe where I always write this blog.  It's a good place to write, and there is a lot of life energy here.
Just as I was thinking that there is not much Island energy around here, I looked out the window and saw two people with blue shirts.  Also, San Francisco is surrounded by water on three sides, so this literally is an Island City.  The breeze comes in from over the water, and some days you can taste the salt in the air from all the seawater.

I quit yoga recently, and I quit the YMCA.  I had enough of that place.

I was outside for a minute, and again a cellphone person stood within three feet of me.  What is with it with these people?  I don't think they can make a phone call without making a third party listen to their one-sided dialogue.  Geez.

I was thinking of island things while I was standing out there.  A 'PG & E' truck drove by with something about clean energy on the side.

I have stopped playing facebook games for the meantime.  They get pretty tedious, and take just as much time as a real 3D game.  They are good for people with limited graphics capabilities on their computer, but you still need fast internet, otherwise you just sit there waiting like a dick for a long time.

It's a nice day, no complaints.

It was fun to read about the Red Hot Chili Peppers on wikipedia.  I was entertained and informed by the information.

Mr. Spock has a blue shirt, and his intelligence would put him in the realm of a blue mtg card.  He is a mentat, like the guys in 'Dune' who focus on intellectual properties.  The planet Ix, I think they are from.

I watched the new Clone Wars episode last night.  Something about a 'by the book' general.  I like the series, it is visually stunning.  The voice acting on the general was not military sounding enough, and kind of weak for a that character, I think.  I was wishing they had got a better voice for that guy.  Anyway, it's a good show for the most part.  People die in it.  There is violence.  War should never look like too much fun, because it isn't.  People get hurt.  They don't show much of the side-effects of war, though.  Half-alive people with shrapnel in them screaming in pain.  They don't show that.  In a way, Star Wars does advertise the military, and keeps it in people's minds.  Overall, Star Wars is a good thing, and I like that George Lucas didn't allow Ronald Reagan to visit Skywalker ranch because he had used the 'Star Wars' name for his political bs space protection missle system that would never work.  God, a lot of ink was wasted on that during the 80's, and for what?  I don't know.

I'm not into politics much.  Politicians for the most part are people who want to be famous but aren't pretty enough to be in movies.

So, add an Island to your mana pool when you can, it's good for you.

     Laters,
     The Blue Wizard

Lurking Informant

Hi, it is Friday, and I'm at the cafe.  It has been a pretty nice and quiet time here today.  I guess everybody is out either working, or shopping.
I got my coffee, I got my laptop, I got time, and I'm happy.
Of course, I could always use some more money, but I am working on that.
Some kid on 'Clone Wars Adventures' said that I was a 'Beggar Adult'.  I wish I could buy him a plane ticket and fly him out to San Francisco.  He would then see some real beggar adults, and he would find out that they are a big part of this city, from homeless bums sticking out dirty hands asking for change, to clean and showered young people with clipboards working for non-profit organizations who seem to take advantage of their willingness to stand outside all day and ask tourists for money.
Anyway...the sky has a nice color of blue today.  The emotional state of god must be calm ( inside joke ).

I just saw a black truck with 'Hellkids' written on the side, under the driver's window.  That is a good name for a cartoon.  You know, blue energy sometimes couples with black energy.  I'll give you an example with 'Lurking Informant'.

There you go.  This guy is a 'right bastard'.  He hangs out, blends in, and basically spies.  A secretary used to be known as someone 'who would keep secrets' and would often work for kings, or for people in power.  He would know everything that the king would do, and would manage his affairs.  He was a 'confidante'.
The Lurking Informant is the same thing as this kind of secretary.  He is a two-timing backstabbing bastard....lol.
I like to use this card when I play MTG, because it gets rid of cards on the top of my opponent's library, and puts them where they belong...in their stinking graveyard.  It is a good card because it can be played early in the game.  Sometimes I get lucky and make the player dispose of a card he really needs.  That is when I laugh.  Good times, haha.

( Awesome.  I just saw that I've made about $3.92  between my blogs and my youtube account.  It's finally starting to work.  The sky is the limit in terms of how much content I can create.  Being a very prolific person, I have no problem doing that.  I will focus on creating original content that I own all rights to.  Eventually, I'm hoping, it will all go through the roof.  )

( I've never ever been a real popular person, but I'll make some videos that people will watch, np. Screw it.  I'll do it. )

At The Cafe - The Island of Coffee Table Bliss

Hello, I'm just sitting here.  Luckily, my camera decided to work.  I was able to upload the contents of my camera on to my laptop.  My desktop is running out of memory room to keep putting up new stuff on it while I simultaneously take stuff off.  Hard to clear out memory that way.  Anyway, here are some Island pictures from Magic The Gathering.

I've been altering Magic Cards for some years, putting my own material on them.  Also, I prefer to play with the cards covered with packaging tape.  It feels better in my hand, shuffles more easily, and prevents wear and tear.  It also makes your deck look bigger.  Always good to have an impressive looking deck.

Basically, the tortoise's head and neck looks like a dick.  Anyone who denies that isn't looking or doesn't want to deal with that fact.  The girl island card I made by cutting out the frame of a xeroxed card, and then taping it all together.  I think she likes turtles.
The Swamp of John Lennon is a good card.  I have Swamp cards of all the Beatles.  Just because I think it is funny, my nickname for them is 'The Beatless".
So here is my final picture for this blog entry.  It's my 'Island of Coffee Table Bliss'.  Normally I do art at the cafe, but I started bringing my computer stuff to the cafe again.
So, I was able to upload photos and videos, I made some new videos for youtube, and I worked on my blogs.  It's been a productive session, and I had fun.  I even got to read some more from my Conan The Barbarian book.  It is good reading.
Basically, I try to write my blog entries with as good English as I know how.  I like and enjoy the English language.  It's become fashionable with people on the web to hack and slash the English language to bits, but I prefer standard usage.  I find that if the writer doesn't do the work of writing his ideas out clearly, then the reader has to take the burden, and that is no fun.
I hope this blog wasn't too much of a burden on you.

I made 51 cents on this blog so far.  Exciting, huh?  I hope to make more.
Basically, I don't care how many blogs I have to have, I'm going to write as many as it takes to earn a paycheck.
With all the portable devices out there, people like to look at blogs, so I am hoping to create a good enough one that people might enjoy reading.

     Wish me luck.  Thanks.

Good Morning ( The Blue Wizard Wakes Up )

Usually, I work on this blog at the cafe with my laptop.  I decided to see what would happen if I wrote an entry before I went to the cafe.
So, I am trying to keep the content of this blog from Rated G to Rated PG 13, so no one gets offended.  It isn't always easy for me.
Teenagers listen to rap songs that have very adult subject matter, so I don't know what it all means to have content suitable for a general audience.  The general audience has changed.
Anyway, I will try to comply.

I'm not a very good wizard at anything.  Maybe I am a level 1 Wizard, starting a new character.  That is what this blog feels like to me.  The number of hits equals the xp, and what I'm trying to do is to earn gp ( gold pieces ).

Okay, it looks like I need a new spell book, and some equipment, and I will have to explore my island to see what adventures I can have in order to level up.

     Wish me luck.

"Where is my coffee?" the blue wizard said to himself.  "Oh yeah, I have to go on a coffee quest to the cafe."

Monetization on youtube

Basically, it all seems like some kind of a joke.  Some people will be lucky to make $12 in a year on youtube for a lot of videos with lots of hits, and they still have to have ads on and around their videos.  It almost doesn't seem fair.  And this is better than what they might get for their website.
I personally don't know anybody who makes money on youtube.
Basically, youtube is good for getting the message out for what you like to do.  It gets the word out, and is a good form of advertising that can lead to other things.
As you know, sometimes making videos, especially while on the job, is basically not a good idea if you want to keep your job.  However, if you want to lose your job, putting lots of videos on youtube while you are working might be the trick to accelerate getting fired, if that is what you want.   I'll have to try that someday, lol.

Just do what you love to do, and be happy is the best advice ever.

A youtube video for purposes of monetization starring A. Ted Bear

Okay, here it is.  An original video, by me, and it is completely Rated G.  A rare event from me.

Funny, though, but a bear has become such a symbol within the gay community of a certain type of person, that even this Rated G video is loaded with meaning.

That is why sometimes Rated G videos and films can be just as screwed up as other kinds of movies.  Look at Spongebob Squarepants.  That cartoon has a lot of references to things that would make people blush.  Luckily for that cartoon, it is done in such a sweet way that they can get away with it all.

     Anyways, enjoy the video.

The Island Contains a Cafe

Hi there.  I'm at Muddy Waters Cafe, on Valencia near 16th, in San Francisco.  This is my main hang.  I like it a lot.  I like the people who come here, and I like the people who work here.  It is a relationship.  I'm the customer who minds his own business, and everybody else does their thing, so everybody is happy.
Sometimes, people from the street will come in and make a make a fuss or a racket, but thankfully that does not occur that often.
This area of the city is relatively quiet during the week, apart from the occasional ambulance siren, but that is normal for San Francisco.
Anyway, I got my coffee, I got time, and it feels like an open road.

*     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *

I brought a lot of toys with me today to make an animation.  Here is one I made yesterday.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDOG6rKiztQ
It is The Army Man and The Doll.

Anyway, I like to do stop motion in the cafe.  It is nice to have a clean table, and a different environment than I could provide.  Also, the music keeps me going, as does the people in the cafe.
It is a nice island here.

So, the counter heading on this blog also keeps track of the times I visit it, but that's okay.  It is good to have as high a number as possible on your blog.  People get impressed by that, and numbers do not lie.

They are playing some blues music today, so it is nice, and fits in with the theme of The Blue Wizard.  I got the blues, you know.  White people aren't supposed to have the blues, but I've felt my share of them.  I'm doing better now, that's all that matters.

Anyway, if you are reading this blog, thanks for visiting the site.  Every hit counts, and I appreciate all the people that take the time to visit my content.  Some of my entries will be good, some bad, but that is how it goes in the world of text writing.
I typed on a manual typewriter for twenty years.  I currently have it near my computer.  I guess I could put my keyboard there, as I don't really need my typewriter there anymore.
I'm starting to find out that it is good to write out dialogues for videos instead of just doing the impromptu thing.  It really does sound like you are just making it up as you go, and it sounds terrible, unless you really get on a good roll with it.  But in writing a dialogue for a video today, I found that the words came easily, and then I read them for the video, and it was a lot smoother than it would be if I was just doing it on the fly.
I'm also noticing that when I make a mistake in reading the text or in speech, that it is better to redo it, because otherwise you will have a mistake that will be there forever.  It is better to avoid mistakes, unless it turns out to be a charming one.
You want to know where I got a typing upgrade.  There is a game on 'Clone Wars Adventures' called 'Star Typer', and if you play it enough you eventually have to rely on the natural memory of your hands and fingers to know where the keys are.  My typing speed increased because of that game.  I know where the keys are now without thinking about it now.  It is nice.  Then my thoughts can flow nicely from my brain onto this blog page.
This cafe is named after the blues musician 'Muddy Waters'.  I think this cafe has been around for at least seventeen years.
So on 'Clone Wars Adventures', I've just been earning credits playing Mine Buster on hard level, and working on my new palace.  I am laying in the white tiles, and that is very expensive to do.  Did you know that in that game 10,000 credits literally is equivalent to $10.00?  I wish you could earn credits and then you could turn them in for credits or SC.  That would be cool.  But it doesn't work that way, it never does.  Too bad.  I know what would happen if they did that.  People would exploit it.  That is what people do, especially video game people.  If they can get something for free, they will milk it for all it is worth.

So, this blog is monetized.  That is really cool.  I am happy about that.  It was easy to do.  You know what happened, right?  I had my other blog, and I set it for 18 and over, and I thought I was fine.  It showed that I was making money on it, then after a year, they said it could not be monetized because it had adult content.  Okay, I did not know.  I still really like that blog, and will continue to work on it.  I can put anything I want there, and it seems to be no problem.  The only draw back is I won't get paid for it.  That's okay, I've done a lot of artwork and writing that I've never gotten paid for, so it will be no big deal.  But this blog I will get paid for eventually if I can get enough hits and clicks.  I will keep working on it until it does, and then I will keep going after that.

I filmed my blog from yesterday, and recorded the voice in my studio.  That worked out pretty good.  I can't record in here because of the loud music.  It makes my spoken words muffled.  Even recording outside isn't very good, because the street sounds just get in the way.  It is funny that I am starting to care about all this stuff.

Let's see, what is going on?  Some guy just cracked his knuckles repeatedly near me.  It's not really good for your knuckles, and it is an annoying series of sounds.
At the table behind me, a transgender person is talking to a Chinese American girl.  They are having a bonding session.  I guess the question is, "When transgender people play online video games, do they choose male or female characters to play?"  I have no idea what they do, or what they would do in that situation.

So when I first started youtube with my kirkindysolospock channel, which is still there by the way, I didn't know what was going on.  I had dial-up for god's sakes.  It was slow, and it would take a long time to even view one video.  That was the beginning of 'The Waiting Game', something we are all familiar with on computers now.  Anyway, I would watch videos that people would make.  It is good those people got on youtube early, in terms of the hits they have now.  I did finally get to see '2 Girls, 1 cup', which I see now as an 'art film'.  I'm not offended by it, but it is kind of gross, but also fascinating at the same time.  Of course you can't put stuff like that on youtube anymore.  People still put up booty shaking videos, though, which is fine as long as they have underwear on.  Guys love that stuff, and a lot of girls do, too, to be honest.  They like to watch other girls.  They are just as fascinated as the rest of us.

The guy next to me has looked at my stuff three times now.  I guess he is curious.  Or maybe he is bored with what he is doing.  I spread out my Playstation 1 video games so he has something to look at the next time he is feeling nosy about what I am doing.
I guess it is human to be nosy about other people's business.  A lot of women seem to do it, maybe they have nothing else better to do.  I would imagine being concerned about hair, make-up, nails, and clothes must get boring as sh*t after a while.

'Airplane' ( 1980 ) was a PG movie, and it had a scene where 'the sh*t hits the fan', and then they show a bunch of sh*t hitting the fan, having been projected into the fan from offstage.  So if that scene is considered PG, then it is okay for me to use the word sh*t, and still have this be a Rated PG blog.  That movie also had a scene where a topless blond with huge breasts bounces topless in front of the camera.  It was fine for that movie, but if I show a picture of a woman without her top on this blog, then I run the risk of it not being able to be monetized.  Just how it is.  I don't like being edited, or being told what I can or can not do, but I want to get paid, so I will try to keep it clean.  Like Steve Martin said, "Comedy is not pretty."

Anyway, I'm having a nice time.  It's a lucky day and age we live in.  All we had was one George Carlin tape on cassette, and I listened to that thing over and over again.  Now, you can watch him 24-7 on youtube.  Nice, huh?

So, yeah, I play Clone Wars Adventures.  I was even on Free Realms for about twenty minutes last night.  In a way, it is a chance to be young again.  There always used to be talk about what would you do if you could go back and be young again.  Well, these two games makes it possible, except I get to use the experience ( xp ) that I've acquired over the years.  Instead of taking some sh*t from a smart alec kid, I can dish it right back to him tenfold.  They don't like that much.  They can dish it out, but they can't take it after a certain point.  Nobody can.  I just know more swear words then these kids, and I know how to use them.  That comes with age.  So if they try to play the dozens with me, I will pwn them, np.

I still have to draw and paint up the map of 'David's Island'.  It takes time, but I will eventually do it.

I'm having the time of my life making videos, and I'm glad I'm on a roll with a blog again.  I like text, and I like to write.  Finally, after all these years, I have a place where I can write, and make money off it.  I sure did write a lot of papers for school, and never got paid sh*t for it.

Here is a standard computer picture that most people are probably familiar with now.  But for me, it is the hills of my island, and lets me imagine that I am there.  And, somewhere there, it contains a cafe.

The Blue Wizard

I guess I am a blue wizard.  I like the color blue.  I've always liked blue.  I've always felt if there was one color that was me, it would be blue.
As an adult, I've listened to a lot of blues music.
I'm not really a wizard.  I'm not really intelligent enough to be a wizard at anything.  I'm more of an idiot.
Anyway, I'm going to have fun pretending I am a blue wizard, so I might as well have a good time of it.
If I was a card in Magic The Gathering, I guess I would cost one island and two others.  I'll have to design a blue wizard card that looks like me eventually.
Wow, it looks like I got a couple of hits on this new blog today in its first day of existence.  That is cool.
The plan is to write a bunch of blog entries and to see what happens.  I have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Maybe I can make something happen.
In real life, I am a visual artist, so maybe I need to tap into some powerful blue energy, and upgrade my life.
I need to take a nap, it's been a long day.  I was at the cafe for hours trying to make my camera work.  I finally got it to work at home.

An Island in Magic The Gathering represents blue mana.

An island provides power and nourishment for blue creatures.  It is the domain of wizards and flying creatures.  Also, spells of the mind seem to be connected with blue mana.  Red mana, in contrast, deals with fire and brute strength, such as goblins and ogres.

Anyway, I am having trouble with my artifact.  I have a Canon Powershot SD750.  In the last couple of weeks on both my laptop and desktop, it's been having trouble uploading from the camera to the computers.  Windows doesn't like my camera anymore.  I tried to download an update for Windows xp, but I am still struggling to get it to work.
My portable t.v. station is effectively shut down without a way to get pictures and video from camera to computer.  Criminy.

I just uploaded photos from camera to laptop yesterday, and it worked just fine.

Avast! anti-virus was getting in the way.

I will keep trying to upload the pictures.

I can't make videos without pictures and stuff from my camera.

I am a blue wizard and my artifact doesn't work.  Some wizard, huh?

David's Island

Hi.  This is my second blog.
I like the idea of blogging, and of self-publishing.
My first blog is set to 18 and over, and can not be monetized.  Therefore, I decided to create a blog that was more for a general audience.
I really love my first blog because I can do whatever I want there, but I also wanted to have this Island here where anybody could visit and read material that was more suitable.
The previous blog made about two dollars before they figured out that maybe they didn't want advertising on it.  Lol.  Ironically, I still see some ads on it when I log in, so I don't know what is going on.  So basically, they will advertise to me on an 18 and over blog, but not to anybody else.  Is that what they are saying to me?  Hard to know.  Anyway, Google knows what they are doing, so I won't mess with them.  In a way, Google rocks.
Okay, so I figured an Island would be a good image for this blog.  I want it to be my little oasis that I can come to and visit, and if anybody else enjoys it, all the better.
I grew up watching Gilligan's Island, so I figured it would be cool to have my own island.  Of course, I don't have babes on my island, but maybe someday I will.  You never know what can happen in this world.
I guess I will have to draw a picture of my island and post it.  I'll do that later.

However, if you do want to see my 18 and over blog, it is called 'David Lovins 67's Underground Emporium'.  I really deal with the dungeon issues of the mind there, haha.

This blog will be more user-friendly, and above ground.  It will be at sea-level.
I decided that I would only work on this blog at the cafe, and do my other one at home.  That sounds workable for me.
Fun to be two different entities on the web.  I also decided that I would only use my Dirk Wampaflash facebook account at the cafe, so I can escape the mess of my regular account for a while.

So, I am Dirk Wampaflash on Clone Wars Adventures.  This will be a blog that friends of mine on that game can visit if they like, and add comments.
This blog will be rated G to PG-13.  That means I will not put any nudity on this blog either from artwork or photographs.  Also, I will limit my use of dirty, filthy swearing and profanity, lol.

Hard to think with the background chatter sometimes.  A guy doesn't know where he can get a color copy, so now he is obtaining help from one of the cafe patrons, who is making a call for him.  Such a pain in the ass.

Here is a picture of my island at the cafe at full power.  I've got a laptop, portable PS1, and a flat screen monitor.  All this is easily transportable from my art studio to the cafe.  I also bring a digital camera, so it is also my portable video studio.  I  am now beginning to make videos right here at the cafe.     Fun, huh?  I think so.  I have an interest in stop-motion animation, and for what I want to do, it is easy to do here.  Today, I brought an army man, and a vintage Barbie doll, so I will do something with them, and animate the sequence, and lay in the sound right here.  Cool that I can do all that here.

One thing that I love about blogging is that the entries can be edited later, or annotated.  I also love the self-publishing aspect.

So welcome to David's Island.  I hope you like it.  If not, nothing I can do about it anyway.

( Gee, I wonder if bots or real people will eventually read this blog?  Only time will tell. )
